Donna Haraway: Storytelling for Earthly Survival - Screening and Discussion

For an Earth Day special, Deptford Library Cinema Club will be screening Donna Haraway: Story Telling for Earthly Survival (dir. Fabrizio Terranova).

Donna Haraway is an iconic feminist philosopher best known for her cult classic Cyborg Manifesto. Her ground-breaking work in science, technology, gender and trans-species relationships over the last four decades is marked by her deep commitments to feminism and environmentalism. She is a playful philosopher who refuses binary thinking, favouring instead interconnection and a process called Symbiosis. Come and dive into her universe with this portrait of a live and works of one of the most exciting living thinkers around.

This special screening will be followed by a discussion, led by Lewisham libraries worker and feminist researcher Kate. We will have an informal chat with biscuits where we will explore Donna Haraway's juicy ideas and the style of documentary used in the film.
