The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Drag Ball Disco

Join us for the spectacular opening night of New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival in your most fabulous lewks for a journey through the desert, followed by our very own drag ball disco, where fantastic local Drag Queen The Cybil War (@thecybilwar) will be hosting a drag ball competition and karaoke! Bar open all night.

After Drag Queen Anthony accepts an offer to perform at his estranged wife’s hotel in the remote town of Alice Springs, he and his fellow drag performers Bernadette and Adam set out on a journey across the Australian outback in a tour bus they christen ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’. What follows is both a hilarious comedy of errors and a joyous celebration of queerness in all its forms.

Film starts at 7pm until 8.44pm, followed by drag ball disco and karaoke hosed by Drag Queen The Cybil War until 10.30pm. The official afterparty will then be hosted by Lil Nan's Bar from 10:30pm till late!
